Follett Software AI Is Now Included Across Supported Products, Expanding Practical K-12 AI Without Added Cost

AI should help school teams do their work more efficiently, not create another purchase decision, another system to learn, or another implementation to manage. 

That is why Follett Software is making AI a built-in part of supported product experiences across our Library, Technology, and Facilities suites. 

Beginning August 1, 2026, eligible U.S.-based, cloud-hosted customers using supported Follett Software products can access AI capabilities as part of the products they already rely on every day.

Why this change matters

For many districts, the challenge with AI has not been interest. It has been access. 

School and district leaders are being asked to do more with limited time, tight budgets, and lean teams. They want modern capabilities that can save time and improve decisions, but they also need those capabilities to work inside the systems and workflows their teams already know. 

By including AI in supported Follett Software products, we are removing a barrier that can slow adoption. Districts don’t need to spend more to benefit from AI capabilities already designed for their day-to-day work. 

This means easier access to practical workflow support for the teams who keep schools running, including librarians, curriculum leaders, technology staff, facilities teams, and administrators.

What is included today

Today, Follett Software AI is available for supported customers using Destiny Library Manager, Destiny Resource Manager, IT Asset Manager, IT Help Desk, and Work Orders in eligible U.S.-based, cloud-hosted environments. 

These experiences are delivered through Follett Software AI Assistants built for specific operational needs: 

• Library AI Assistant helps teams access AI-powered reporting, collection intelligence, and smarter resource decisions. 
• Technology AI Assistant helps IT teams automate ticket creation, reduce manual triage, and move work forward faster through AI Email Ticketing. 
• Facilities AI Assistant helps facilities teams create, route, and manage work requests more efficiently through AI Email Ticketing. 

More capabilities are planned as we continue to expand Follett Software AI across the product portfolio.

Our view is straightforward: AI is most useful when it fits naturally into the work schools are already doing.
